Getein T4 Fast Test Kit is used in the monitoring of hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism, and also used as an aid in the functional diagnosis of thyroidea.
Intended Use
The T4 (Thyroxine) Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay) is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of T4 in human serum and plasma samples. It can be used for monitoring hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism and as an aid in the functional diagnosis of thyroid conditions.
About T4
The thyroid gland exerts essential regulatory influences on growth, differentiation, cellular metabolism, hormonal balance, and the development of skeletal and organ systems.
T4 is the most commonly measured substance in the assessment of thyroid function. Most of the thyroxine secreted into the bloodstream is bound to transport proteins such as thyroxine-binding globulin (TBG), albumin, and pre-albumin. Less than 1% of thyroxine remains unbound as free T4 in the blood. Elevated total thyroxine levels are associated with hyperthyroidism, a condition characterized by excess circulating thyroid hormone, while decreased total thyroxine levels are associated with hypothyroidism, characterized by insufficient thyroxine levels. Primary thyroid malfunction or diseases affecting the thyroid-pituitary-hypothalamus system can result in abnormal thyroxine concentrations in the blood. Measuring thyroxine is one of the most widely used methods for evaluating thyroid status.
