Rapid Test
25-OH-VD Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay)

Getein 25-OH-VD Fast Test Kit is used to help understand the metabolic changes of bone.

Intended Use

The 25-OH-VD Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay) is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of 25-OH-VD in human serum and plasma samples. This test helps assess metabolic changes related to bone health.

About 25-OH-VD

Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble precursor for a steroid-like hormone and is transformed into the biologically active molecule, 1,25 dihydroxy vitamin D. After being synthesized in the skin or absorbed from the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, most vitamin D is bound to carrier proteins in the blood (vitamin D-binding protein [DBP] and albumin) and transported to the liver. In the liver, vitamin D is hydroxylated by the enzyme 25-hydroxylase (CYP2R1) to become 25(OH)D, the major circulating form of vitamin D. Testing for 25(OH)D helps assess total-body vitamin D status.

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in maintaining bone health and is linked to immunomodulation, diabetes, various cancers, cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, and congenital immune diseases.
