Getein CysC Fast Test Kit is used as an aid in the assessment and evaluation of index of glomerular filtration rate, and has important application value in renal function, kidney damage and renal transplantation.
Intended Use
The CysC Fast Test Kit (Immunofluorescence Assay) is intended for in vitro quantitative determination of Cystatin C (CysC) in serum, plasma, or whole blood. The test result is used as an aid in the assessment and evaluation of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR) and has important application value in evaluating renal function, kidney damage, and renal transplantation.
About CysC
Cystatin C (CysC) is primarily used as a biomarker of kidney function. CysC has a low molecular weight (approximately 13.3 kilodaltons) and is removed from the bloodstream by glomerular filtration in the kidneys. If kidney function and GFR decline, blood levels of CysC rise. Serum levels of CysC are a more precise test of kidney function (as represented by the GFR) than serum creatinine levels.
